Our story began with the establishment of The Auck-Dostal Agency, which merged with Kirk Insurance & Financial Services in 2009 to form Dostal & Kirk, Inc. This partnership combined decades of experience and a shared vision to provide tailored insurance and financial solutions.

By 2010, we began operating as Dostal & Kirk Insurance & Financial Services, a name that reflects our continued growth and commitment to serving our clients with care and expertise.

Our Path to Growth and Continued Expansion

1875

Founded by John Schaber, the agency laid the groundwork for a lasting legacy in the insurance industry.

1921

Merged and operated by Joseph R. Neff and Milton Lewis at 212 E. Mansfield St.

1956

Became The Neff-Dostal Agency under the leadership of John M. Dostal after his tenure at Aetna Life and Casualty.

1995

Merged with The Auck Agency, forming The Auck-Dostal Agency, led by David G. Dostal and David M. Auck.

2009

Merged with Kirk Insurance & Financial Services, founded by Jeffrey A. Kirk in 2001.

2012

Expanded into the Columbus metro area with a new office in Powell, OH.

2017

Acquired Scharer Insurance in Marion, OH, further extending our reach in Central Ohio.

2021

Logan S. Kirk became an owner/partner, strengthening our leadership team for the future.
